The Colac Adult and Community Education seeks to change community attitudes, particularly in the more outlying rural areas surrounding the town, to those from African refugee backgrounds who have recently moved to the area. To do this, the project will conduct focus groups and set up a number of programs to address the issues directly and build personal links, including a foster grandparents program, a 'men's shed' and a mentoring program.
