The project seeks to reduce misconceptions and stereotyping amongst three groups: older Australians, older people from different cultural backgrounds and sole parents from diverse backgrounds. The project proposes a series of workshops for each group to discuss issues and perceptions, drawing on the assistance of stakeholders such as the Lone Parent Family Support Service, the Community of Southern Sudan and the Australian-Arabic Community Welfare Centre. In addition, the participants would be engaged in several joint social activities.
