This project seeks to address issues of religious discrimination by developing a common mission statement for faith communities in the Palmerston area, establishing regular interfaith meetings and developing an interfaith community Harmony Kit. It will also establish an interactive web site, a media campaign profiling different faiths, produce religious diversity postcards and facilitate gatherings on World Religion Day and Harmony Day. The project will seek to engage the Indigenous community in this process. |

The Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory was established in 1977 and is the peak community organisation representing the interests, concerns and aspirations of people of non-English speaking background in the Northern Territory . It provides support services and is an advocacy body. |
