Project Summary:

This project seeks to reduce isolation and overcome discrimination amongst local people in Grafton, including people from diverse and Indigenous backgrounds. Adults will share their stories and culture via workshops where music, cooking, craft and storytelling will take place. The wider community will learn from the group through involvement and publication of the project activities in a variety of media forms.

About the Organisation:

Grafton Community College is an Adult Education Centre, which delivers educational programs to the Clarence Valley community. Programs include ‘Arts and Crafts Enterprise ' for the local Indigenous community and the ‘Life Experience Counts' program for the local Community Services Association. The college delivers short courses and projects to more than 2,000 adults each year.
