Project Summary:

This project aims to unify and showcase the diversity of women living in the Toowoomba region. Through music, the participants and audiences will be able to share cultural exchange by performing music from the cultures of the choir members. The choir will be a strong symbol that all members of the community can work together in a harmonious fashion and can share cultures. The choir will be drawn from the whole of the community, including Sudanese, Indigenous, migrant and Anglo Celtic women. Activities will include rehearsals and performances.

About the Organisation:

The Advocacy and Support Centre (TASC) provides free legal advice and information as well as referral to legal and non-legal services. It aims to increase access to justice by educating the community about the system and legal rights and responsibilities of individuals. It also seeks legal and social change through appropriate law reform and encourages community participation in the provision of its services.
