Project Summary:

This interfaith project seeks to increase understanding of similarities and respect for difference amongst school students, staff and parents. Teams of three presenters, a Christian, a Muslim and a Jew, will visit 15 year ten student groups from schools in Melbourne and across Victoria . The presenters will, in half-day forums, introduce themselves and their traditions and explore issues relevant to the schools and communities. Handouts will be provided and a webpage will be established with Frequently Asked Questions and feedback from participants.

About the Organisation:

The Victorian Council of Churches is a fellowship of churches which provide an ecumenical Christian voice on public questions and social issues. It encourages dialogue between the member Christian churches and people of other faiths and ideologies.
