| Project Summary: | The project will recognise the diversity of the local area (80 percent of Ashfield School students come from non English speaking backgrounds) by creating community partnerships and programs. The school will become the hub for a network of internal and external activities, which will include forums on Australian values, community co operation, respect and participation. Other activities include the development of a cross cultural database and production of a website and DVD. Successful second generation migrants to the area will share their stories with recent migrants to the local area. |
