Project Summary: This project aims to explore and appreciate the cultural diversity in Murraylands, South Australia. New settlers will be encouraged to work with service agencies, service clubs, volunteer groups, local government and the broader community through sharing of the diverse cultures in the region, including through cultural performances, traditional food displays and an information expo on Harmony Day 2008. Joint consultations, mapping of the different new settler communities and the establishment of community profiles will lead to increased understanding and will guide project strategies which will include community consultations and agency visits and conclude with the production of a DVD documenting the project.
