| Project Summary: | The project aims to encourage two way interaction by getting unemployed Africans and host industry companies together, to discuss experiences and opportunities. The project will work with the Victorian Employment Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The African participants will be selected in collaboration with the relevant African community organisations based on employment needs and the level of disadvantage. The project will be delivered in Carlton, Flemington and Footscray. The industry visits will cover several industry sectors. The visits will be followed up with one day work placements. The outcomes of the visits and placements will be evaluated and information about the project will be promoted via the web. |
