First Harmony Day Events registered

While Harmony Day is still 3 months away, a number of organisations have already registered their events on www.harmony.gov.au
Mitchell Community House are involving schools, churches, service clubs and local volunteers in an International flag parade through their local park. They hope to display a range of different stalls which will provide all kinds of food, music and entertainment .
The North Coast Institute of TAFE plan to decorate their English for speakers of other languages rooms with Harmony Day material. Students from diverse backgrounds will be asked to participate in creating Harmony Day collages based on what they think Harmony Day stands for. Students, teachers and invited guests are also invited to a Harmony Day afternoon tea celebration.
Curramulka Primary School and Point Pierce Aboriginal School are coming together to celebrate Harmony Day. The main focus of the day will be a healthy food lunch followed by Aboriginal studies. There will also be a range of activities available for students and teachers.
