Harmony Day is a chance for all Australians to reflect on our success as a
community in openly welcoming people from the four corners of the globe...
so we should celebrate our success in creating one Australian family, while
at the same time, valuing the rich and diverse nature of that family.

Around three-hundred thousand people will mark Harmony Day this year in
about four thousand events around the country and it'll take place in
schools and workplaces, in council chambers and sport venues and community
groups. There's just loads and loads of people all over the country having
morning teas and seminars and cultural performances and sporting events;
that's how much success this day is starting to cultivate.

go to the 'What's On' section at www.harmony.gov.au and see what is on in
their local area and get themselves organised and get along, I'm sure
they'll have a good time.
