Event Harmony Festival – Everybody’s Welcome

Multicultural festival celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the City of Greater Dandenong.

Free Family Activities:
Community Stalls: 12 noon to 8pm
Cultural Activities: 12 noon to 8pm International Dress Parade: 12.30pm to 1.30pm
Cultural Concert: 2pm to 8.30pm
Cultural Food Park—12 noon to 8.30pm

Watch the International Dress Parade (12.30-1.30pm) and Multicultural Concert (2pm-8.30pm). Visit the cultural souk market stalls and buy some cultural food from the Cultural Food Truck Park

Dress like an Egyptian
African drumming
Chinese tea tasting
Henna hand painting
Have your face painted like a Maori warrior
Learn to do the Haka
African Coffee ceremony
Get your name painted in Chinese calligraphy
Try on a Hijab or Turban
Learn to write your name in Egyptian hieroglyphics

The Festival has been organised by Springvale Neighbourhood House. Participating agencies include City of Greater Dandenong, Monash Health, Victoria Police, Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre, South East Community Links, local emergency services (CFA and SES) and the Australian Government Department of Human Services (CentreLink)
