Harmony Week is about coming together to celebrate the cultural diversity in your area and spread the message that ‘everyone belongs’.
Local councils and state governments play a key role in Harmony Week, some provide funding support for local celebrations. Celebrations can include food markets, local performances from culturally diverse artists, multicultural art exhibitions, sporting events, debates, storytelling or movie screenings.
Within governments or councils celebrate the cultural diversity of staff by holding workplace morning teas or other internal events.
You can also use this resource all year round to help plan activities within your office and your local community.
